Verona Sergeant Killed in Holland

S/Sgt. Charles Weller of 50 Kenwood Avenue, Verona, was killed in action in Holland February 27, according to a war Department telegram to his mother, Mrs. Charles Weller. Sgt. Weller was a member of an infantry division. He joined the Army in December, 1942, and went overseas last November. A graduate of Montclair High School and Upsula College, he was employed by the Manufacturers’ Casualty Co., New York, before entering service. He was 28. The soldier was the son of the late Charles Weller. Besides his mother he leaves a sister, Mrs. Hugh D. Turner, also of Verona.
